More than $350,000 was embezzled from a police union in Orange County. The office manager who was convicted of the crime was sentenced to 4 years in prison. She was able to embezzle the money by waiting for her boss to sign her paychecks, and then she would change the amount.

Law enforcement officials in Fullerton state that the woman was the only paid employee. Her annual salary was supposed to be $65,000. But as time went on, she kept increasing her paycheck without authorization. This went on for several years, totaling several hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Besides stealing the money via her paycheck, police also discovered she even used the union’s online bill pat to pay for her own bills.
